This is my second year participating in the Tough Ruck. I was introduced to this event last year by some amazing individuals from the US Navy (Active and Reserves) Det M from Newport.
I was a Navy Reservist, so this event touches my soul. This year I am joined by a crew of 9 civilians who were inspired by the cause that this event stands for. Our weekends have been dedicated to training, trying to figure out what works and what doesn’t work. I will miss spending the hours on end chatting and laughing with all of these amazing friends. Our success in training wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our families who have spent hours watching our children.
I dedicated this Ruck to all of our fallen heroes. I will be carrying a few names on my pack, with special attention to SCPO Shannon Kent.
