Tough Ruck is working alongside the Massachusetts State Police to provide direct support to the family of Trooper Kevin Trainor. “Massachusetts lost one of its finest. Trooper Kevin Trainor was not just completing a shift; he was answering a final, desperate call to protect the public. Our community’s strength is defined by how we show up for those who have given everything, and now it is time for us to step up once again,” said Sarah Sweeney, Race Director For Tough Ruck Nation. Tough Ruck provide immediate financial support to families of Fallen Military and First Responders across the Commonwealth.
Each year, 1000 Tough Ruck athletes join the day before the Boston Marathon to march a marathon distance with weighted rucksack and raise critical funds for families of the Fallen. The Tough Ruck Marathon is held in partnership with the Boston Athletic Association.
VIRTUAL TOUGH RUCK MARCH SET TO HONOR TROOPER KEVIN TROOPER

To honor the legacy of Trooper Trainer, Tough Ruck invites the community to join us this May for a virtual Tough Ruck Memorial March in his memory.
- The Action: Print the commemorative bib
- The Ruck: Complete a ruck march of any distance at any point during the month of May.
- The Goal: Carry his name so that his family knows his legacy will never be forgotten.
We request that you post your photos with the tag #ToughRuck #TrooperTrainor them so we can share your tributes directly with the Trainor family. Let them see a sea of Ruckers across the country carrying Kevin’s memory on their backs. We ruck for the fallen. We ruck for the families. We ruck because service never ends.
