For this New Hampshire rucker, Tough Ruck isn’t just a test of endurance – it’s a Patriots’ Day Weekend tradition rooted in service, remembrance, and commitment to the people who can’t be there to ruck beside him.
An Army veteran and longtime member of Team 2/22 Infantry (“Triple Deuce”), he returns to Tough Ruck each year with the same mission: carry the names of fallen brothers forward and make sure they are never forgotten. In 2026, he marks Year 10 of Tough Ruck with Team 2/22 Infantry – a milestone that reflects not only dedication to the challenge, but dedication to the meaning behind every mile.
The team’s message this year says it all: “Keep Saying Their Names.” For him and his fellow ruckers, the weight on their backs is symbolic – a reminder that the true burden is carried by those who serve, and by the families who live with loss long after the headlines fade.
Through the Military Friends Foundation, his ruck is also a promise of support – standing behind the Gold Star families and military families who continue forward with strength, grit, and resilience.
As he puts it: every Patriots’ Day Weekend, he throws on his ruck and steps off with the men he served beside. They ruck for the brothers who aren’t with them anymore. Their names get carried. They don’t get forgotten.
That’s why he rucks.
Keep saying their names.
Deeds Not Words.
