The Tough Ruck marathon brings together military, first responders and civilians from across the country to join together in an endurance ruck march while carrying names of Fallen Heroes. The event has taken place in Concord since 2014 and is held in partnership with the Boston Athletic Association. The Concord 250th Celebration Committee has recognized the Tough Ruck marathon as part of its official line up of events for 2025. Citizens are encouraged to cheer on athletes throughout the marathon distance which will include the towns of Concord, Bedford and Lexington and join for the finish line festivities at The Fenn School.
